We had a great holiday season. We took Sullivan to see Santa Claus in true holiday fashion, and we experienced none of the theatrics of last year. Our little boy is getting so big!? He bravely told Santa he wanted a choo-choo train, and then Santa gave him a paper sack full of little goodies to take home. Sullivan immediately sat down and emptied the sack then and there, then turned to me with the most confused face and asked "where's my choo-choo," in his barely discernible 2-year-old voice. It was too cute. We quickly explained that Santa would bring his choo-choo another day, which seemed to satisfy him and we avoided a melt-down.
It snowed! So Eric took Sullivan outside to play. They had the best time, and even though there wasn't all that much snow on the ground, they managed to create a tiny, little snowman, which Sullivan was super excited about. I just love my boys.
I managed to make a couple batches of cookies with Sullivan to get in the Christmas spirit. Everything is much funner with a two-year-old, though exponentially more messy.
I managed to capture a few moments of precious sibling love this month. Sullivan is the sweetest big brother and he has always been so soft and gentle with Eliza. I love to find him giving her loves and kisses, or sharing his toys, or trying to play with her. The are the cutest. One kid is fun, but two kids is even funner. They melt my heart.
And I tried to capture a few pictures of Eric and the kids, since he often gets left out of the action. We spent Christmas in Las Vegas this year (more to come on that!), and we got to stop in Mesquite and visit with Eric's grandparents, Bonnie and Kent. They are the best and it was so great to see them and show off our little Eliza. We are so lucky to belong to such great families.
