Christmas

As behind as I get with blogging, for some reason I just can't abandon it all together. So, here we go again...an effort at updating. :)

Christmas was SO much fun this year! We went to Wolf Creek with our Hammond family a few days before Christmas and had the best time. My brother Ryan's birthday is on December 23, which means his birthday often gets glanced over in the Christmas rush, and his birthday present just means one less Christmas present. :) Poor kid! So this year we decided to do something really special and do something we knew he would love. I think we hit it out of the ballpark this time. It's one of his birthday's that I'll certainly never forget, that's for sure! It was so much fun!

We started the day by picking him up from the SLC airport (he lives in Pueblo, Colorado). Eliza could not get enough of Kona! Love at first sight...

Then we hit up the Layton Hills Mall as Ryan desperately wanted a haircut. He looked like hippy Jesus, so we were all happy to oblige...

He looked pretty fabulous when he was done...

Then we had lunch at an Indian restaurant, which is one of Ryan's favorite foods. It was my first time eating Indian food (in my 30 years!?), and it was delicious! And the restaurant peeps gave Sullivan a full-on Ipad to play with full of games, which kept him completely occupied the entire time we were there...genius!

Then we went to the Solomon Center in downtown Ogden to play. First up was indoor skydiving. Ryan had mentioned multiple times to me over the years how much fun indoor skydiving sounded, so I knew he would love this. Since I had done it before, I saved my cash and let Ryan, Heather, and Dad have all the fun.

But I wasn't about to miss out on our next activity...the Flowrider! Indoor Surfing. My dad, Ryan, and I were the participants of this activity, and we all loved it. It was so fun playing, crashing, and laughing with my dad and my brother. Mom and Heather definitely missed out...the party poopers!! :) But I guess someone had to watch my kids (Eric thought he needed to work!? Pff! :))...so thanks for that, ladies.

After Flowriding, we went next door and hit up the movie Frozen. The kids definitely loved this, as did the adults. Cutest movie ever. Then it was back to the condo for dinner and hot tubbing. It was such a fun day full of so many wonderful, perfect memories of my fun family. We are so lucky to be part of such a fun group. We love them...a whole lot.

The next morning was Christmas Eve. We opened our presents to each other then drove back to Logan for Christmas at home with the McCombers, which was absolutely magical, and wonderful, and relaxing.

We have the best families. And the best/cutest kids ever...

It was certainly a very merry Christmas for the McCombers!
