Anniversary Stay-cation

Eric and I celebrated our seven-year anniversary on May 6. I cannot believe it's been seven years!? It seriously seems like we met just yesterday!? Yet, so much has happened in those years...school, jobs, houses, so many fun trips, one kid, then another kid. It's been a fun-filled 7 years, that's for sure. And I can't wait for a zillion more with my guy!

For our anniversary we went with the stay-cation option. Our nursing baby was going to have to accompany us,  so we didn't want to go too far or do anything too extravagant. I know, a baby on an anniversary trip...so lame. But such is our season of life. She's so nice though, so we really didn't mind her company too much.

So, where did we go?? To the bustling metropolis of Ogden, Utah. And it was AWESOME! I seriously can't wait to go back. We stayed downtown at the Hilton Garden Inn, in their amazing Junior Suite, which was ten steps from everything you could ever desire in a getaway...the movie theater, the Sonora Grill (my new favorite Mexican restaurant!), the Solomon Center, which operates the indoor sky diving and flowrider activities, Five Guys, Subzero Ice Cream, Costa Vida, a cupcake place, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Best location ever.

After checking into our amazing hotel, we strolled on over to the Solomon Center for our indoor skydiving appointment. It was SO much fun! I highly recommend it.

Then we took a peak into the flowrider area and decided we definitely need to come back and do that. Then it was time for a cupcake break, which was absolutely delicious, of course.

Then we took a little nap, ate an amazing Mexican dinner at the Sonora grill, took a dip in the hot tub, and watched Safe Harbors in our amazing hotel suite. The next morning we enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, then headed home. It was a quick trip, but it was so much fun. Just what we needed to celebrate the passing of the best seven years of our lives. I could not have found a more perfect guy for me...he makes all my dreams come true. :) I love our life together and I love him. A whole heckofa lot.
