And if we weren't at home getting cabin fever, we were playing at the jump zone trampoline park or any of the local fast food play places. Even with all the indoor activity and public indoor activity at that, we seem to have eluded any form of major illness thus far (knock on wood!). Nothing more than a sniffle one day, which is gone the next. The members of our little family somehow have immune systems of steel, and I'm not sure what I should thank for that? Genetics? Diet? Breastfeeding? Hand washing? Emergen-C? Dumb luck? In any case, I'll happily take it!
Over the last week we've gotten a few blessed snow storms which cleaned out the air and warmed things right up. And one day of clear air reminds me why I love this place...it is beautiful, year round (minus the inversion!). Now every afternoon Sullivan wants to go outside and play, and after being cooped up all winter, how could I ever say no? He loves playing in the snow with all his big trucks!
Sullivan will be three this month and I just love him at this age. He is certainly your typical two-year-old (sassy, whiney, stubborn, etc), but he is also the sweetest little boy alive. He is such a good brother, can clean up his toys when asked, can almost dress himself, and he loves his mommy and daddy. He's getting so self-sufficient, though he still likes mommy to help him if at all possible when I'm available. I'm sure he won't be asking for my help for long, so I usually oblige him and make daddy play the tough guy who makes him do everything himself. :) He talks up a storm, but we still can't understand half the things he says. But just this week I got a call from one of the programs at the University asking if we'd like to get him some articulation help...oh yes, please!! So, we're crossing our fingers that they can help us out. I know he'll figure out his words and sounds eventually, but oh, the thought of eliminating all the frustration that comes from not understanding him!? Sign me up!
We sure do love you Sully! Will you stay my little big boy forever!?
