So, one of the Lord's creations that I'm pretty sure the Lord made just for me is the blossoming trees you see in springtime...
I love them...SO, so much! The look, the smell...they're completely intoxicating....and I'm pretty sure he made them just for me. And now that they're starting to die off and turn into regular ol' plain, green, leafy trees, my heart is a bit saddened, not gonna lie. But at least there's always next spring...
The next natural wonder that the Lord made just for me (I'm certain!) is Zion National Park. We went there this last weekend and hiked Angel's Landing, and it was amazing... inspiring... incredible... awesome... well, words just can't describe it. I'd been to Zions before (I mean, I did go to Dixie State College for two years), and I have actually hiked Angel's Landing more times than I can remember...but this time was different. All the vegetation was green and full of life (as opposed to dead and grey during the winter season when I used to hike it), chipmunks and lizards were hustling all over the place, the skies were blue, the temps were perfectly in the 80's, the red rock was alarmingly beautiful, the sheer cliffs were breathtaking (and dizzying), and the amazing rock formations were mind boggling...it was just awesome. I could have spent all day at the top of Angel's Landing, taking in all the majesty and beauty of the vista surrounding me...a vista that I'm pretty sure the Lord made just for me...because he knew that I would love it so much...and love it, I did.
The anatomy of our weekend:
Eric, me, Brent, Michelle, Zion National Park, Angel's Landing, overpriced jerky, the best orange ever, friendly chipmunks, a Zion shuttle tour, lots of pictures, swimming pools, hot tubs, Texas Roadhouse, redbox, Neilson's Custard, long lost friends, sunbathing (while slathered in spf 50 sunscreen...apparently the Lord was not thinking of me when he made the sun!? But he was thinking of me when he made sunscreen! Phew!), homemade oreos, The Deadliest Catch marathon, Sunday evening walks in St. George, Monday morning hikes in St. George, Neilson's Custard (again!), In-n-Out, and Jason's Deli.
We had the best time...it was, seriously, the perfect long-weekend getaway. And if you've never been to Zions, you really need to go...

Sounds like fun. I haven't ever been to Zions but hope to go someday. I can't believe you pack all that stuff in, in one weekend. As always you are amazing.
Sounds like you guys had a good time. Can you believe that growing up in Utah I have never been to Zion's? Stupid uh! Anyway, tell the man that I said hi.
I love how just about every other thing was food! A girl after my own heart. And Erik will be soooo jealous: he LOVES In-n-Out. But sounds like you had a great time, and I have to admit, I'm a little jealous. :)
Sounds like you had a great weekend! I actually don't think I have ever been to Zions but you sure made me want to go!
Mike and I are actually heading down south this weekend! (Mike to Zions, me to St. George) You've just made me THAT much more excited!
